Throughout his career, James has been driven by the desire to bring his feature, The Insect Life, to the big screen. He worked on the screenplay for years between his various shoots. He wanted to polish the screenplay along with develop his directing style in order to do justice to this passion project.

Levi and Céleste hope their kindling romance can heal their mental health challenges as a club owner conspires to exploit their addictions to tear them apart.

The feature has already been announced in Variety, when James secured the male lead for the film.

BERLINALE

After hundreds of feature project submissions from around the world, The Insect Life was announced as a finalist for the 2026 JETS pitching contest during Berlinale. James attended this year to pitch his feature to a panel or investors and producers. He received a very positive reaction to the screenplay and project.

PRODUCER

James is now looking for the right producer to work alongside his development producer to secure the funding for The Insect Life for its shoot.
